The outer ring profile is dictated by the dimensions and design of the pulling chain used. The two lips on the outer ring profile are providing lateral guidance of the chain. The distance between the two ball rows along with their contact angle care for a wide load support base, so that the Chain Pulleys can also absorb tilting and axial guiding forces.
